Chief – Gordon Freeman

Chief Gordon FreemanChief Freeman started his Law Enforcement career in 1987 with the Gregg County Sheriff’s Office, he attended the East Texas Police Academy in Kilgore, Texas and held several different duty positions within the Sheriff’s Office.

In 2000 he left the Gregg County Sheriff’s Office and came to Gladewater Police Department as the School Resource Officer and D.A.R.E. instructor.

In 2006 he returned to the Gregg County Sheriff’s Office as a patrol Deputy and was soon promoted to Sergeant. Chief Freeman retired in 2018 as a Lieutenant with the Sheriff’s Office, and became the City Marshal with Longview where he was employed until his appointment as Chief of Gladewater Police Department.
